Flexible Manufacturing Solutions for Your Project in Mexico
Since 1996, Shelmex has helped companies from around 30 countries manufacture in Mexico. Choose the model that matches how much of the operation you want to run.
Five Ways to Manufacture in Mexico
Every project is different. Some companies want us to build their product from start to finish; others prefer to run their own production and leave the administration to us. Each solution offers a different balance of control, investment, and support.
We build your product to your specifications in our plants and deliver finished units that meet them.
You supply the product design and materials, and we run the production in Mexico with our plant and people.
A space and staff used only for your production, with a built-to-suit lease option.
Your team runs production under our Mexican legal entity while we handle the lease, HR, payroll, and permits.
Partner with Shelmex to share the investment, costs, and risks of producing in Mexico.
How to Choose the Right Model
Three questions usually decide it: who runs production, which legal entity you operate under, and what you need Shelmex to provide.
| Solution | Who runs production | What Shelmex provides |
|---|---|---|
| Contract manufacturing | Shelmex | Plant, workforce, production, and delivery. |
| Manufacturing outsourcing | Shelmex, with your design and materials | Plant, workforce, supervision, permits, and logistics. |
| Dedicated facilities | Shelmex or your team, depending on the model | A facility and staff used only for your production. |
| Shelter services | Your team | Mexican legal entity, facility lease, HR, payroll, and permits. |
| Joint venture | The partners together | Infrastructure, manufacturing experience, and support. |
In a shelter operation, you manufacture through Shelmex’s Mexican legal entity. In a joint venture, the structure is defined in the partners’ contract.
